Hurworth Community Association
Hurworth Grange Community Centre is a beautiful old manor house that was built in 1875 for James Backhouse and is set in fourteen acres of land. It was owned by the St. John of God for the training of brothers. In 1969 it was acquired by Hurworth Parish Council and given to Hurworth Community Association for use as the Community centre we see today.
